Keep in mind that a very large area, now referred to as Sundaland, that extended north from today’s Indonesia, between China and the Phillipines, between China and Taiwan up to Korea and Japan, was submerged about 12,800 years. Based on today’s sea bottom, it was a generally flat area with multiple rivers crossing it likely making it a desireable place to love. Any civilization living there failed to survive the fast rising sea level. Perhaps the peoples of the Pacific are the remanent of that civilization.
Do the Melanisians have any folklore on how they came to settle on the islands?

A recent doco on British TV did a DNA on a well known TV announcer, she was blond blue eyed, she had 6% Neanderthal DNA, it seems to be everywhere.
