   where could I find the list of names of people lost at the st. francis dam disaster?

      I’m not sure, possibly in the coroner’s inquest published on the incident:
      Coroner’s Inquest (1928). Transcript of Testimony and Verdict of the Coroner’s Jury In the Inquest Over Victims of St. Francis Dam Disaster: Book 26902. Los Angeles County Department of Coroner.
      Although you’d have to find it in person rather than online!
