The dramatic language about a “significant blow” and “definitive challenge” to the ice bridge theory seem significantly overstated. Even if Professor O’Brien’s concerns with the Cinmar artifacts eventually are proven true, this does little to refute the considerable and increasing body of evidence in support of the ice bridge theory as at least a part of the story of the peopling of the Americas.
