It should be mentioned that the image which accompanies this story has nothing to do with the Fifth Dynasty.
It’s Winnifred Brunton’s ‘portrait’ of Queen Tiye of the 18th Dynasty, who lived some seven centuries later, and is apparently no near relative. Worse still, it simply doesn’t resemble any of the surviving portraits of Tiye, one of the best-attested ‘great royal wives’ in Egyptian history.
