Great Archeological Discovery Made By Burrowing Rabbits

Burrowing Rabbits

<![CDATA[Artifacts dating back to the Stone Age have been discovered at Land’s End. This find was unearthed not by archeologists but, astonishingly, by a family of rabbits who were only digging for a home. Land’s End has once again stood out among tourists and locals alike but not for its amazing views this time. A set of rabbits recently migrated to Lands End to settle in a new home but what they have discovered was something that the previous homeowners left behind; something far more valuable; Instead of removing just dirt and debris to make room for their family, the rabbits have unearthed ancient relics that is said might date back to the iron and stone ages. This would make this recent discovery one of the oldest findings in Cornwall adding to an already well established landmark. When Land’s End staff member Eddie Williams adopted a family of wild rabbits who seemed to have recently migrated to the site, the last thing he would have imagined was the Neolithic treasures the rabbits discovered. Digging to make space for their family the rabbits unearthed evidence that Land’s Ends had always been a popular; they unearthed relics that seem to date all the way to the Stone Age. What they were “hopping” to find was a home for their family but what was found instead was a discovery that sent local archeologists into a frenzy. What makes the discoveries so amazing is the fact that it was accidental. Archeological teams have had their jobs literally cut out for them. The only thing employed was the burrowing feet of the rabbits. To take a closer look at the findings, a local archeological firm, Big Heritage, was called in and has realized the great importance of the findings. They have surmised that the relics are actually consisting of Stone Age flint scrapers and arrowheads. Digging deeper not far from the famous Land’s End’s famous sign post with the curious rabbits as their onlookers, Big Heritage discovered an iron-age hill fort, a Bronze Age barrow cemetery and a Neolithic passage grave. Land’s End is currently owned by a company called Heritage Great Britain PLC. It has a great reputation for beginning any exploration of Great Britain and attracted more attention in 2012 for being the starting point for the Summer Olympic Torch relays. The site is Cornwall’s and by extension one of England’s most famous landmarks having a theme park and noted for having family oriented facilities. Famous not just because it is the most Westerly point of the country but for its breathtaking views, the famous Land’s End signpost and the many family attractions it boasts. The famous signpost shows the distance to John O’Groates (traditionally called the start of Great Britain) and is a popular place for taking photographs. Thousands of tourists visit Land’s End each year to explore their facilities and take in the great view of the cliffs and the Celtic Sea. in order to add to the rich history discovered by the rabbits, Land’s End owners have decided to create an archeo-bunnie passage so that children can make discoveries at Land’s end the same way these bunnies did.]]>
